I am sorry about the delay in responding to your question. Thank you for your kind comment. The print is about a woman's experience of marriage. The roses, a flower associated with romance go from young bud to fully blown rose and the stem passes over the womans marriage line on her palm. The print is a personal one for me about experiences in my own life which I guess I could say have ranged from youthfull optimism to full blown reality over the time of my own marriage.
The Linocutter blog is dedicated to printmaking as I am a member of Baren, a international group of printmakers who are interested in relief printmaking techniques. You should look them up if you aren't a member. http://www.barenforum.org/
Lots of good information on their site.

Lovely work, Georgina : ) I am interested in learning the meaning behind the work, if there is a special message you would like to share?
